Latest vacancy bid at United has the most junior CA award at 8 months on property. 1,070 or so vacancies, 130+ WB FO slots unfilled. Fedex has 757 CA in MEM hired in August 2021. Don’t blame you one bit. Anyone junior and commuting either way should definitely be looking at options. Anyone that commutes and would switch to living in base should definitely be looking no matter their seniority here.
All the covid early outs created a hiring vacuum. Retirements that would’ve taken place over a few years happened all at once.
