Spoiler alert: a new variant will appear. Then a variant after that. It’s a virus!!! It’s not hurricane season that has a beginning and and end. It’s transitioning from pandemic to endemic. It’ll be here forever. Like the flu, common cold, etc.

This omicron variant is making people realize that COVID isn’t killing everyone. People are still traveling. Half of my family and friends have omicron right now. Obviously mRNA isn’t the way long term. Obviously a fabric mask isn’t working.

Allllll of these people are getting Covid, and life is going on.

Delta is already behind staffing wise. My category doesn’t have 25% of the required reserves on a single day in January. Formerly known as a slow month.

But yes sailing, this is a good thing. So that when June rolls around we can “run a little hot.” Good lord.
