Another perspective is that 5500 represents a November 1997 Legacy UAL hire and an April 2005 Legacy CAL hire. 17 years to make 777 Captain. Holy unfreakin' believable movement Batman! The only caveat I would add is that right now the company is planning a return to China in May. If China does not open up in the Spring I wonder if it will impact the staffing or if UAL has alternative routes on which to use the planes. Guess time will tell.
