AA will need the airplanes, not just the pilots. They will want the RJs to continue flying. Over 40% of all passengers fly on RJs right now, AA can't lose that overnight.
One thing to watch for will be things that will indicate AA is going to bring the RJs onto their certificate. If the "staple" is real, they will need to do this. So, look for AA management to start taking more roles in training/fleet/management at the WO Regionals and for documents/procedures to start to align with that of mainline.
There's no reason to think they will staple. To ensure the RJs are staffed, they could pull the metal inhouse... but there's no reason to think they'd have to bring the WO pilots with them. AA could always hire through the traditional application and interview process and have more control regarding exactly who flies those RJs for AA.
