It appears from all accounts that the NWA MEC is somewhat disfunctional. The individual LEC all hate each other and there is constant infighting. I heard the MEC is not allowing the MEC chairman to work directly with the merger committee. A NWA pilot told me that to call the NWA MEC disfuntional is a gross understatement. Its sad they can't put the redbook/greenbook merger of 20 years ago behind them and get on with the future. Don't look for any merger agreement soon between NWA and DAL since NWA can't agree on anything amongst themselves.
