Eventually they'll have to get a new type. Boeing will eventually have to come up with a new design for a narrowbody, since the 737 is going to hit 60 soon, and the 757 is out of production. But because of the 737 MAX cluster, Southwest just got themselves the next three decades of their fleet for an even better deal than they were already getting.
