This airframe will be around for a very long time before Swa considers a replacement for it. Especially at the prices that we purchased them for. and adding a 2nd fleet type does not protect the company from another grounding. Losing 50% of our capacity is just as crippling as losing 100%. Adding a 2nd type just doubles our odds of another grounding issue. Andrew Watterson thinks we’d need 6-8 fleet types before there is any real protection.
