I know several who are dusting off apps, waiting to see if attrition self-rights or reaches a tipping point.
2Yr FO here. Real downside risk to going to big 5 now - recession in next couple years. At F9NK - you would probably be at 80% by then, and ULCC could possibly do ok with minimal furloughs. 90% at Big 5 - you are well outside the foxhole, past the ramparts and deep into the kill zone.
Have to wait till end of summer to see how it goes - maybe get the Legacy apps in then.
