I am sympathetic to your situation. As a former nutcase, i can tell the wait will be unbearable at times, especially the first few days after the dreadful email. Do not gauge this as a failure on your part. I think they have stressed that enough within the first few minutes you met with Capt. Kraby. They are not necessarily looking for "unstable emotionally" candidates, but the criteria that Delta has set forth.

Try to look into other possible employment venues in the mean time, get your minds off to something else, and hope for the best!
