If I were hired by DL in the last 3 years, I'd take the fast NB A, bank some $$, then bid WB B when seniority allows. From what I gather as an outsider, the only thing you bid for domestically is sign in date/time. You might as well get paid as an A. After trying each for a couple years you can make your career decision. It's a long way from hire to retire, enjoy the scenery along the way.
I totally agree. Especially living local. The A plug on any narrowbody can make beaucoup bucks while they’re in they’re 20s and 30s. That money has a lonnnnng time to appreciate. I got awarded close to ER A plug in this last AE but it makes no difference to me because I bid reserve and weekdays off at 45% on the B side anyways.
