Wearing the uniform as a nonrev/deadhead/whatever is stupid in this day and age. Sure, you can control yourself and be sure you’re not doing anything abnormal, but you can’t control others, especially those with an agenda and a camera. Why risk it?
I wear it in case I get a rando, don't want to have to take my shoes, belt, watch, phone, EFB, and laptop out and put them in bins. Also don't want TSA confiscating my toothpaste, etc.

Not a bad idea. But I just avoid doing anything that would be newsworthy while in the cabin... pretty much just eat, drink, read, or sleep. I guess if somebody tries to hijack the plane, then I'll be on the news. Other than that, low profile. I don't photograph or video-tape anything in the cabin.
