Agreed. Which is why I found it odd that the company’s narrative was to insinuate that our picket was the reason for the cancellations. I’ve never seen a company still in mediated negotiations, not in a cooling off period, not in self help, EXACERBATE a potential problem of revenue loss. Normally it’s rogue pilots doing things to make things worse for the company. In THIS case, the COMPANY….is making matters worse for the company. It’s as though they think, “We’ll show those pilots. We’ll tell the public we’re not dependable and it’s all THEIR fault, cause the pilots aren’t gonna like having the public and media blame them!” Note to Alaska management: WE don’t sell tickets on Alaska Airlines. We’re not negotiating with the public. We’re negotiating with YOU! 🤦♂️
I’m not sure they understand the point of informational picketing. But, this company continues to surprise and dazzle me in ways not even Chris Angel could do.
