How much would it cost to paint, put TVs, Wifi, and retrofit the spirit planes? Over how long? What do you tell the customers that were expecting a certain amount of legroom or wifi on a plane? Do we not lose spirit customers by having to raise prices due to the above? Do we not lose Jetblue customers by not offering the things we used to? I think all the questions above cost a lotttt of money. Still baffled by the big offer by JetBlue. Gutsy move. Other than expecting to get shafted on seniority integration I am very curious of what happens with JetBlue in the next 10 years.
While only a partial fix, they could offer free snacks and drinks, as well as remove several rows of Spirit seats virtually immediately. The rest would take time, obviously. Not sure how quickly they could at least install the internet antenna and server. That would go a long way to help the experience.
