Is 4 hours from notification to show promptly reporting? How about 6 hours? I think you will find the Company and ALPA have developed a general understanding/agreement over the course of 20+ years that "promptly report" means around 2 hours (NYC and LAX excepted due to co-terminal operations). If you are reporting 2+01 later, no one is going to bat an eye. Report 4+31 after call-out off Short Call and I suspect there will be a follow-up call.
But my point is that’s not a reference to short call being two hours. You make a deal to disappear for two hours and the price is you will be on the hook for something at 2 hours. That’s it.
Yes, the company frequently tells people it’s generally two hours, especially to new hires who don’t know anything different. But PWA is intentionally silent.
