That seems a little short sighted. I'm sure he'd rather not get the 100 million, get NK, and create a mega ULCC. His long term gains (and probably not that long) will most undoubtedly exceed 100 million.
Don't forget about the part where his largest competitor goes away. The effects of that are a little harder to quantify than a merger. But yeah I can’t see him being thrilled about it if the deal falls apart. He’ll lose more in the medium term.
