I'll be interviewing on some off-days between indoc and systems/procedures training. My question is what happens when the current company gets the PRIA requests while I'm still in indoc. Am I going to get fired? Carpet dance? Pulled from training? It'll be about 6-8 weeks until a class date after a CJO so I do want the job security in the meantime but I'd be very interested if anyone has experienced this situation before.
Short version: until you have a FJO in hand from the legacy carrier you have no choices to make other than whether to pursue the interview to see if you can get the FJO. The economy contracted last quarter. There is no guarantee that anyone will be hiring in three months. Take the bird in hand, pursue better options, make choices as they present themselves. Your current company poached you from a different company. The legacy may poach you from the major. None of them will hesitate to kick you to the curb (furlough) to protect the company. You should be equally cold blooded about protecting your family.
