Cost index is a joke, at least domestically. The speeds are ridiculously high and need editing in climb and decent or cruise is to slow for ATC. But yeah for a green airline we sure burn a lot of fuel for no good reason and then don’t burn it for a bad reason. Like saving fuel in ATL when it’s 85 degrees and 95% humidity during the 40 minutes of boarding.
