Thanks Dash, good current info on JE has been hard to come by. Any idea on how long they’ll continue to hire for the 300/350? Are they still actively adding CL30 Airframes?
From what we heard in the All-call zoom meeting, we are actively purchasing aircraft as fast as we can get our hands on them. We have allocated a significant amount of capital toward aircraft acquisitions so I'm confident this will continue for a while.
Recruiting is busy, and as long as we continue to expand the fleet, that should continue. Initially they were struggling to fill seats, but they revised the pay scales and that seemed to solve things. However, there are rumors that they are contemplating a Net Jets style pay scale which would be a pay cut for most of their newer captains and FOs. Longevity numbers on the larger cabin class aircraft look pretty lucrative though. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up. Bottom line, they are serious about growth, talent acquisition & retention, and there are a lot of smart people crunching the numbers to make that happen. Hopefully they learned their lessons at XO, and won't make the same mistakes here.
