Just use American Flyers. It's completely hassle free. I used it about a year ago and it only takes 8 hours of reading through their website lessons. You really don't need to be there for 8 hours. I just let the computer run so it would log the time and then you take a short easy multiple choice test at the end of the section. I believe there were 4 two hour sessions. When you pass all of them you can print out a certificate which you take to your local FSDO where someone signs some forms and gives you your renewed CFI license.
