I’ll echo Peabody. I’ve been able to put up with a lot of the silly and overly complicated workflow changes over the last several months. XO still has, at least for the time being, a good pilot group, great people outside of executive management, and a few other peripheral things that still made it somewhat still worthwhile. This compensation package was advertised as an improvement, however it’s anything but - more days worked per year to include training on days off and no vacation. If you’re sick, from what I understand you have to make up those days. Additional incentives for flying over 600 hours and 700 hours per year, something we have no control over thus essentially incentivizing you to fly fatigued, sick, or broken airplanes (not that I believe the majority would do that).
We were all blindsided by this. I wasn’t looking to leave, but now I am strongly considering my next move. I have friends at JE and I certainly wouldn’t want the same to happen to them, but as much as I hate to say it JE is right where XOJ was 2 years ago.
