Instead of allowing "real time" trip trading using a computer to execute the trade and check legality providing immediate feedback on the results, Fedex requires a scheduler to execute the trade. A computer programmed with scheduling/contract parameters still "approves" or "disapproves" the trade. It's up to the scheduler to decide when they feel like hitting the "enter" button and letting the 'puter go to work.
I guess I'm spoiled because I used to work at an airline that had real time results and it was mucho better. Hopefully we'll get it some time.
