Been out of flying for 2 yrs
Currently a sim instructor for military for the last 2 yrs
Would they pay for ATP? What are my chances?
Lack of recent flying is one of the leading red flags in training. ATP not required, Delta will have info on getting your ATP written done, common for prior military. I would recommend getting out and work on flying again, set a goal of getting your ATP, wouldn’t be surprised if you got a call when you show 25 hours in recent flying on your app.
A good tip that a sim instructor told me about new hires is: “there’s a difference between instrument recency and proficiency, we don’t have time to get you proficient.”
