The company and more importantly the union seemed to have hit the trifecta of division amongst the pilot group. Global against basic, basic against global, and both against training. Now not only will this go down to a big no, we now have many splits in our brother/sisterhood. Good times.
Which is why it needs to be voted down. Simple as that. I don’t blame a TK guy for liking it but I do have a major problem with former FTFPL pilots taking management appointed jobs after contracts shoved down our throats. I’ve also never liked TK IPs having the ability to pick mostly any trip. Let’s be honest. It either is a cherry pick trip or it’s picking up your friends trips etc. It should all be seniority based. You need a trip you choose from trips offered in seniority order. Sick and tired of the secret deals that subrogate or disregard seniority around this place. And no where did I say LCAs. They bid trips and fly the line. This is never personal it’s simply business. I treat my UPA as a business contract. The only personal issue I have is the FTFPL guys that move over to management jobs at the expense of the pilots they once were paid well to protect.
Just need to vote no and send the proper message. Simple as that. But it will pass so using this time to learn my new business contract that right now is not very appealing to me. But the majority rules and it is what it is.
