This T/A is about 2 things and two things only. It’s a windfall for TK offline and a win fall for FTFPL pilots and by giving this to management on a silver platter you can bet just like in the past many on FTFPL over time will be rewarded as they move away from union FTFPL work and into their earned positions awarded by management.
And allowing retired pilots back on property is 100% a scope concession. Period!! Realize it didn’t say over age 65. It says retired. Hey guys we just had unfilled TK IP positions.
Ok, I’ll retire early. 👍🤝 Get 90 hours and get into the training dept and go past 65 that way. Get ready to watch this get exploited by secret handshakes.

The company and more importantly the union seemed to have hit the trifecta of division amongst the pilot group. Global against basic, basic against global, and both against training. Now not only will this go down to a big no, we now have many splits in our brother/sisterhood. Good times.

This TA seems to have illuminated a lot of disdain of our fellow LCA and PI pilots for what they do and what’s in it for them. Not to mention pitting a lot of Global vs basic pilots.

Just need to vote no and send the proper message. Simple as that. But it will pass so using this time to learn my new business contract that right now is not very appealing to me. But the majority rules and it is what it is.

I only know a few LCA’s and they’re all hard no voters. They claim that their friends aren’t happy either. The override is a big improvement, but the rest is bad. One guy frequently has lines built where he deadheads around doing line checks. According to this deal, he’ll only get paid for jumpseat time, not the whole trip. They aren’t happy with the rest of the deal either. They’re upset about the scope concession allowing retired pilots to work at TK. They’re also not happy that the rest of the TA is so bad. There are lots of Marvin’s in the training department, but there are also lots of good people who want a good deal for everyone. This TA isn’t it. Other than pay rates, our current contract is a better deal than this agreement, and the pay in this deal falls short. Such an easy no vote, but I’m prepared to be disappointed in this pilot group when the results are released.

I'm a PI and a hard NO vote. This TA is concessionary garbage.
The "PUP" scope give is the camel's nose coming into the tent. All the TA says if not enough pilots "apply" they can hire retired pilots. What if they change the requirements to be a PI, ie "must have 20,000 hours in type to apply."???

What would impress me at TK is an immediate call for resignations after voting yes to allowing pilots not on our seniority list to take jobs from seniority pilots positions. If not enough are applying fix the root cause not let non seniority list holders take our jobs! WTF!!
Whats next? No one bid ****ty reserve CA slots they’ll get to hire off the street CAs from Skywest?
