The assigned trip was dropped. The GS was then awarded. There is no conflict. A reserve does not really own a trip like a regular line holder. In fact a little known aspect of the contract allows a regular line holder to take a trip from a reserve pilot if the regular line pilot became eligible for the reserves trip via removal from another trip even if the regular pilot is pay protected. Only once inside 12 hours to report does the reserve need to consent.
