Airline hiring is very cyclical. But whatever you do, DO NOT give into fear. As one famous jedi once said... "Fear leads to the dark side." Don't drop $63,000 on flight training from ATP just so you can finish 1 month faster than if you had gone to your local FBO for $35,000. Don't take a job at Mesa, GoJet, or Gulfstream. Just continue to make good conscious decisions, and you will be fine.
Oil prices are only going up and up and up. Until we as a nation switch to alternative energy, the price of oil can only go up. And unfortunately, it seems like too many people do not want this to happen.
