Seriously, Eagle's training isn't that hard. It was my second airline and I thought it was a joy to answer that when the light came on, it didn't work. I didn't have to draw schematics from memory, know every temperature that created lights, etc. 3 strikes...one down isn't going to bite you unless you let it get into your mind.
FWIW, when I upgraded to captain at Eagle , 3 guys in the upgrade class ahead of me pink slipped the first time. None in my group did and we all had the same instructors. Probably not the instructor's fault. Most of them would let you slide until enough mistakes built up that they couldn't any longer.
