Having flown all the types of aircraft at Eagle except the CRJ, I will say that the Saab is the most challenging to master. Systems on it are a mess. But do not be intimidated. Anyone can learn it with the right aptitude and attitude. Eagle's training is good, and thorough.

If you can learn the Saab, you can learn any aircraft. But I've heard of people failing ERJ training too. So just pick the aircraft that you want.

They let you pick which plane you want to fly when you get hired? Then they put you through their training?

Anybody fill out the application for Eagle? I went to airlineapps and got to the flight time section....pretty much got stuck. They seem to want every aircraft you've ever flown broken down.

Fill it out accurately, they will compare it to your logbooks and a pilot supplement sheet you bring if you get an interview. It sucks but make sure it is as close as you can get it to the real thing.

you can block some of the flight times. Put "Single Engine Cessna" and "Multi-Engine Piper" to lump some of it together. I had everything extrapolated out to 152, 172, etc and they said when I got there that I could have simplified it a little bit, but yes, the app is a bit of a B*tch.

You don't pick the aircraft, you pick the base. But if you pick LA you'll get the saab, if you pick ORD you'll get the jet, LGA you'll get the jet, DFW you might get either. It's pretty simple.
Also, there's no way in hell that eagle has a 20% washout rate. It's closer to 5%, maybe less.
Also, I'm on the ERJ and I've got a line for next month after getting off IOE in January. That's only 2 biddable months that I was on reserve. So don't pick the saab just to hold a line faster. There are way more valid ways to make the determination.
