I had talked to my roommate (SF Capt) who thought that with more 900 options that the 200 program/sim were really a reason to build up the pilot list and be able to switch them to the 900 at the drop of a hat. I imagine that retiring the DC9, the ERJ's and 900's are a nice change of fuel economy and reducing the supply to increase the demand for mainline routes.
