But before I go explain this one:

What happens when the musical chairs stop and no hiring takes place for a time and the most senior FO is waiting on a Captain slot. Will he/she be pay protected as a Captain since he/she could hold it but there are no vacancies for him/her because there are pilots junior to them sitting in the Captain seat? Answer that one if you don't mind.
