Long call is no less than 12 hours with some exceptions to 10. Short call is generally around-ish 2 hours. It's not a set time but that's a pretty good generic default. Some guys are going to bite my head of because there are no set guidelines for time but it's a decent example for explaining the difference between short and long call.
Long call is 24/7 unless you've been converted to SC of an assignment. In those cases, you are put to rest for 12 hours. You'll be on SC for 9 hours before reverting back to long call.
