Pedro’s letter about how keeping pilots at Envoy (applies to all three wholly owned) would preserve other jobs. That’s the point. All those other jobs save money as well. Envoy and PDT do a large majority of AAG ground services so some of that wouldn’t change, but the regional model saves a lot of money and if AAG has to throw some money at it to cauterize the the hemorrhage then it still saves them money in the long run because it saves the model.

The airline industry always runs in waves as different factors affect things and corrections take time. This hiring wave won’t last and things will correct in the next two years. They don’t want to make any paradigm shifts to the system. It would be a Pandora’s box that would cost billions in the future.
