New hires from outside the airline industry may have just spent four months in training, with liberal supplies of complementary koolaid. I'm sticking to my guns that they need some time to build some SA. Not be spoon-fed by anyone, but learn a few things on their own. And interact with a variety of real line pilots.
In that vein, I'd agree with letting former ALPA members vote immediately.
I don’t mean new hires. I specifically meant those who did their year prior to vote starting. So almost 4 months of newly formed full members not getting a say. I know of multi year pilots coming back off leave that can’t even vote. And now we extended the vote. I’m personally fine with HW waiting.
