You think people should be congratulating management when they simply do their jobs competently aka the bare minimum? I don’t get an email from my CP congratulating me every time I successfully land the plane; it’s an expected part of the job.
Of course people are going to be (and should be) up in arms about PREVENTABLE, SELF-INDUCED buffoonery. Management literally caused the entire disastrous past 6 weeks through deliberate, conscious decisions.
You think we should be cheering them when the folly of their decision-making finally penetrates their skulls and they are forced to rein in their incredible shortsightedness?
And nobody here wants the company/operation to fail, but when leadership deliberately plays blind and deaf to the warnings/warning signs, people stop caring what happens, and a, “Let em fail, maybe they’ll finally figure it out” attitude can become prevalent. People want Delta to succeed, but when they’re ignored and mistreated and abused, they stop caring. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that, but it does take a sycophantic bootlicker to NOT understand that.
What really doesn’t help are management toadies ignoring reality and carrying water for our 4th floor mismanagers and trying to claim that stranding thousands of passengers and cancelling thousands of flights really just doesn’t matter.
