Welcome fellow labor enthusiasts.
At an airline the size of Breeze that is starting from scratch your ALPA will be exactly what YOU make it. Not a fan of ALPA at your prior carriers? Good. Now you know what not to do here.
2% is nothing in comparison to the benefits of being ALPA. I honestly can’t even believe the poster on the other page moaning about 2%
Access to group term life, disability, loss of medical etc.
Access to ALPA’s legal team, negotiators, and decades upon decades of experience working in every facet imaginable. Not to mention access to your brothers at labor organizations industry-wide via collective bargaining round tables, safety events, etc. It is especially a great deal for airlines the size of Breeze. You will likely COST ALPA more money than you contribute in terms of the resources that you will require. Especially as you negotiate your first CBA. 2%! That 2% though! Give me a break.
