Just because management doesn't want the pilots unionized doesn't mean it can't be beneficial for both parties. Running things through the middleman (ALPA) requires a large amount of extra time and money that could be saved by keeping things in house.
Sure am. Everyone that voted is either a captain or in the right seat by choice. Some guys fly 10-11 days a month and credit 85-90 hours and some pick up extra flying for 300%. There are plenty of instances of pilots making north of 30K a month. In addition, every pilot gets an extra $2k each month which can be used tax free for work related expenses or cashed out if you choose not to use it.
Tell me your an inexperienced A220 pilot without telling your an inexperienced A220 pilot…
the BPC wasn’t just getting started. The BPC has been around for over a year and the company completely ignored it until the Card drive was filed. The C level suite flat out told the BPC we would never be allowed to negotiate with them and they proved that when they refused to meet with us like they said they would. The last in-person meeting the BPC had with management was in September 2021. The PPB say we are supposed to meet every quarter and the management agreed last year to every month for the first year so changes could be made quickly.
If you wanted the BPC to fully represent you, it would have started charging dues as well as the company has not provided any financial aid to the BPC this entire time and the people on the BPC have worked for free this entire time trying to better the life of our fellow breeze pilots. And it likely would have been more than the 1.85% ALPA charges.
