I think you might be right, but I hope you’re wrong. Supposedly our own chief pilots are telling FO’s to upgrade ASAP because of the upcoming contract, but not telling Captains to stay…
Honestly if they think a 2 year bonus structure will save this airline from shrinking massively due to Captain attrition they’re in for a hell of reality check. I’m actually hoping they’re that stupid to go that route. The more the regionals shrink, the better for all of us.
The majority of OO Captains are focused on the current terrible QOL. Every major offers a significant improvement in QOL, pay, and retirement. SkyWest offers non of that, and a 2 year bonus will only **** off 80% of the captains currently on the seniority list.
