This isn't the right thread for this post at all but I assume you can't apply directly to United? (why?) I know of several people in their 50s who are new hires so I don't think age is a huge thing but I'm sure it's a consideration. Nail the interview and you should be ok. I'm coming from the 91/135 side so I have zero 121 time.
