And now California is asking residents to reduce charging of their electric vehicles even though they make up approximately only 3% of the total registered vehicles in the state. Just ONE full charge of an average midsize electric vehicle uses approximately the same energy that a newer efficient refrigerator uses in 4 months. Not to mention all the insane amounts of materials it takes to make just one electric car battery that usually only last 8-10 years.

Just think how much more coal or natural gas they’ll have to burn if California wants to go from 3% to 100% electric vehicles. That or they’re going to have to cover the entire state in windmills and solar panels. If you drive 1,000 miles in a month, that’s 4 full charges… you basically have another 4 refrigerators in addition to the one you already have for the next 4 months. Going green!
