Nobody here ought to have any sort of surety because a mediator is going to mediate. We can of course root for our home team or our preferred method of cutting up the seniority pie but in the end the only one whose opinion will matter will be that of the mediator, and there WILL be a mediator, because just like this thread, there will never be agreement.
Now about that JCBA which must come first, any GOOD ideas on that we can all agree upon? Not just “more money,” that one is a given, “ but things that can actually improve QOL by making more efficient use of the time the job forces us to be away from home and family so we have more time to BE around home and family or, if the nest is now empty, playing with all the accumulated toys?
