Kansas isn't too bad, but it does get fairly cool in the winter (this past winter was particularly bad). Kansas State main campus is Manhattan is a lot of fun, and relatively cheap tuition-wise, I think...if you would rather go the "useful degree and FBO training" route.
Yeah I'm planning on getting all my ratings through my current fbo, or else there are some community college programs I am looking into. Also getting my degree in something non-aviation related, most likely business admin. or economics.
Bertram, no real problems or anything just kind of burnt out on things right now, for all I know I might stay here, just excersizing my options.
