As a CVG flyer, and especially if you move up to the 700/900 crew group, you'll get your fair share of JFK and LGA overnights. We even do some 30+ hour EWR overnights. So if you want to go into Times Square and have some fun, your time will come. You can even jumpseat/nonrev up on your days off. But don't get JFK based just because you want to see NYC. You'll enjoy CVG, its really not that bad. Crews are good too, its not as bad as people think. JFK may have more junior crew types, but that doesn't necessarily mean the senior guys are not laid back. I just flew with #7 on the seniority list, and we had a blast.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't choose JFK just for the novelty of it. If its an easier commute, then go for it. Your commute isn't going to be easy in either city.
