Arizona State University(Tempe campus). Beautiful Weather, Big campus, lots of people(52,000 students on the tempe campus), amazingly hot girls(can be a negative when you go back to wherever you are from and realize that they dont come close to ASU girls), Excellent parties/nightlife. Academically it's not Harvard, but who the hell cares if your goal is to be a pilot? From what every airline pilot tells me, getting a bachelors degree is just a check in the box on the application. With that said, our business and engineering schools are pretty well regarded. Out-of-state tuition is relatively low at roughly $16,000 a year, and if you get a scholarship like I did, you can get that down to in-state price or lower. Plus, we have Division 1 sports and while not considered a "powerhouse," we hold our own--this year in football we were co-champs in the Pac-10. We have an aviation program as well but i wouldnt recommend it because it's on a smaller branch campus, it's a ripoff, and most of all it is connected with Mesa airlines which blows bigtime. There are other great schools out there as well and ASU isnt for everyone, but you might like it. All I know is, today it was 85 degrees outside and it is the norm for students to go chill out at the pool in between classes--How many other places does that happen in March?
