What is known Is the current TA. What is unknown , will the group do better , voting it down, it might be another year, maybe two. If the economy gets really ugly no mediator will award the pilot group more than what has been currently negotiated, or release for self help. The alaska pilots know , how management works. One can ask for the sky, but did anybody seriously believe , that we can negotiate 350$ or more an hour, 150k retro or more, 14 days off on RSV…. Is it deserved.. absolutely, realistic, no. It is what it is, alaska will never be a on top of the pay scale or work rules. If the pilot hiring environment is as good as it is , pilots need to sit down and do the math and make a choice if it’s worth staying employed with Alaska. It’s a free country. Not saying vote yes, but be aware who you work for, how they operate and how a no vote will improve one’s life. Be careful how you play your cards.
OMG. Thank God you’re not on my negotiating team. Spineless…..
