In our current contract it takes 21 vacation days to not have to bid for the month and the TA now has it as 18 vacation days. I’m not suggesting either vote but that is a nice addition that isn’t widely published.
Actually with current company contracts it is 22 days to get the month off without bidding. Which means it is limited to pilots with 9+ years of seniority...IMO that is the only way to avoid losing vacation days as a reserve pilot with the current rules.
