I’ve worked reserve at both Alaska and United and and they both sucked. United is slightly worse because they can convert you from long call to short call / field standby an unlimited amount of times. The Tumi TA would have just given us couple more credits if we got converted to airport, but the company could still do it ad nauseum.

under your proposed system, which is generally modeled off UA, reserve is still going to suck. It’s not going to be some massive QOL boost. The single best addition is getting aggressive pickup. At least you know what’s coming.
