Reserve isn't a junior thing on the WB categories. I've been from 85%-35% on various WB categories and often bid reserve as a commuter. The upcoming AE has me looking for the best place to BID RESERVE as a COMMUTER. I've seen lines awarded on the last page of the wide report to pilots without pre month credit. It's not guaranteed every month, but it happens often. The benefits of cycling between Line and Res for PB usage drive lines junior. Flying heavy in the last two weeks on a line, then bidding reserve early the next month is another bidding technique that creates more lines for junior pilots. Finally, reserve in a vacation month is even better on a WB. Rolling X days in a 4-99-4 category is another reason senior pilots bid reserve.
All great info, although I understood about half of it. Has anyone created a website/book/bidmaster 3.7 app that walks you through the best way to maximize earnings potential or minimize unwanted bidding snafus?
