I interviewed in May and requested a Nov/Dec class date, in the past few weeks it became clear that classes will take place in December but be smaller in size (I believe the number was 12 per class). I received confirmation from my recruiter that I was assigned the Dec 6th class I initially requested (they were waiting to fill cadets in first), it was not an official email but I trust her word when she said she got me assigned to that class.
New hires (non-cadets) are assigned into classes in order of their interview dates, but not before cadets have been assigned into those classes (since they have priority).

I am a cadet and notified my recruiter in July that I'd be ready for an October date. I keep hearing about other people getting dates, and I still have nothing, so it's hard to believe that cadets actually get priority. That or my recruiter is just not going to bat for me.
