My edit... I will make an assumption that you mean UAL? Anecdotally , my friend took a bid up to 777 F/O and after 6 months of no training they pay protected him. After several more months of no training on the 777, he took a displacement bid to NB captain. So, 6 more months went by, no training.. pay protected again for A rates. He has several friends that this has happened to. So, while you are correct that they have more frequency of bids, they too have problems.
