My other point and perhaps heads up is we (Spirit) have arbitrarily just been assigned an additional duty on average adding 20-60 minutes to our duty day, with no pushback from our Union reps, that I am aware of, that involves the deplaning time period.
Someone also pointed out how the Spirit policy is certainly flawed in that boarding the passengers does not require a pilot to supervise.
There has been a lot of push from JB to have a pilot stay onboard during deplaning as well because apparently we’ve had GPUs drop offline and the lights shut off. Again, makes no sense since FAs can board passengers without pilots.
